J) Institutional Repository - RI

The Institutional Repository (RI/UFPI) is a digital collection of UFPI's scientific and artistic production in electronic media, such as: scientific articles, communication and conferences, dissertations and theses, books and book chapters; cartographic and visual materials; songs; works of art; sheet music; theater performances; serial publications; research reports; works published at event proceedings, among others produced at the University or other institutions.

The objective of the RI/UFPI is to preserve and expand the visibility and access to the University's scientific production and contribute to the elaboration of indicators of the Institution's technical-scientific production.

The purpose of the RI is to increase the visibility, accessibility, image, and public value of UFPI, being used as a tangible indicator of its quality, in order to improve access to research results and facilitate the management of information about the its scientific production (combining in a single place the literature produced and the metadata associated with it), thus preserving the intellectual memory in digital support.

 

Authors must sign the Authorization Term (Available in the Menu: Documents/Others) to make the deposit at the RI/UFPI in order to grant the Repository permission to archive, distribute, and preserve the deposited material.

The Executive Order no. 032/2015- PRPG of October 12, 2015, makes the deposit mandatory, and students of the  Graduate Degree Programs must expressly authorize the availability of their dissertations and theses on the online UFPI Institutional Repository.
